The dust over the figures, declared as total number of accredited
voters, as well as those scored by each of the candidates in the
election, is yet to settle. However, new information available indicates
that the voters register prepared by the Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) was fraught with flaws
enabling for rigging to occurr
unchecked and undetected.
This new revelation shows that the voters register used in Umudimakasi
Square, the polling units where Governor Peter Obi home is located, is
filled with lots of ghost voters.
According to the voters register released by INEC on November 8, 2013,
the voter's strength at Umudimakasi Square is 679. Investigations
revealed that the voters register shows registrants without photographs,
or names, or age or any form of identification - but a voter's
identification number [VIN].
