APC urges Nigerians to steer Nigeria towards the path of growth in 2014

The All Progressives Congress (APC), has appealed to Nigerians to go into 2014 with the commitment to steer the nation toward the path of growth and development.
This is contained in a statement signed by Alhaji Lai Muhammed, the Interim National Publicity Secretary of the Party and made available to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Tuesday.

“Nigerians should go into the New Year with an unyielding commitment to be part of ongoing efforts to set the country on the path of development.”

Mohammed appealed to Nigerians not to be deterred by the challenges the country was currently going through and urged them to be part of efforts to make the nation the pride of the black race.
Mohammed stressed the need for leaders to uphold the social contract between them and the citizens.
“Public office is a trust and power must be used in the interest of the people rather than in the interest of the holder of the office,’’ he said.
The APC spokesman urged leaders to make efforts to make Nigeria to join the list of leading world economies by harnessing the country’s abundant resources.
He said that the party’s membership registration drive would commence early next year.
“The registration will target the youths who are indispensable in our efforts to bring about change, ‘’ he said.
